The Lexington Fire Department is investigating two more arson cases in West Lexington.

Investigators said two cars were intentionally set on fire Saturday night in the Hill Rise Drive area.  No one was hurt.

This is the same area where there was a string of about a dozen arsons last December and January.

Most of the fires were in cars, dumpsters and sheds.

Most of them remain unsolved.

Arson investigators said last weekend there were six suspicious fires in 12-hours set in dumpsters, cars and sheds either on or near Hill Rise Drive, which is off Terrace View near Versailles Road.

Also last weekend in the same area, a man was taken into custody in connection to a fire that investigators said was deliberately set inside an empty cottage at the Messner Home.

The facility is a private home for men who are mentally ill, troubled or disabled.  Investigators said the suspect lived in the home.

Investigators said they don't know yet if the suspect could be tied to any of the other fires.

The investigation continues.
