Update: Suspect Named In Woodhill Drive Shooting

Lexington Police have an arrest warrant for DeShawn L. McMullen, 20, in connection to a shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Just before 4:00 p.m., officers responded to a "shots fired" call in the 2400 block of Woodhill Drive.

Upon arrival, officers located a victim/witness who said she was walking on Woodhill Drive near Peachtree, with a young child, when she saw a black SUV approaching on Woodhill Drive.

According to witness accounts, McMullen got out of the SUV with a gun and approached several people.

Police said McMullen reportedly fired shots toward two people who were standing on the sidewalk.  No one was hit.

According to witnesses, following the shooting, McMullen got back into the SUV, which sped off toward New Circle Road.

Police are still looking for McMullen.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
