Richmond Police say they've found a shooting suspect they described as "armed and dangerous."

Police say 21-year-old Tony Ray Gay was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the Canterbury Road area.

Investigators believe Gay shot a man in the abdomen Monday at the intersection of Race and Spring Streets.

The victim was taken to UK Hospital but is expected to be okay.

Police say they found Gay Tuesday after they responded to a report of a man with a gun in the area near Canterbury Road.

Officers say Gay was not armed when they took him into custody.

Police say he faces several charges including assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
