Autopsy: Russell County Woman Was Pregnant When Strangled

Preliminary autopsy findings say Sarah Hart, 31, was pregnant and died by strangulation in Russell County.
New information is revealed in the murder investigation of a woman in Russell County.

A police report says Sarah Hart, 31, was strangled, as a preliminary autopsy report is released that also lists strangulation as the cause and says Hart was pregnant.

Police say Hart, who is from Jamestown, disappeared Thursday morning while she was jogging with her sister. According to authorities, Hart told her sister she didn't feel well and was going back to her car. The sister went on, but later couldn't find her.

Hart was found dead under a tree in a wooded area about 30 yards from a road. A preliminary autopsy report says Hart was 10 to 11 weeks pregnant, and death was by strangulation.

Police later arrested Christopher Allman, 28, of Jamestown. He faces several charges including murder, ,robbery, and kidnapping.

A state police citation says Allman admitted attacking and killing hart for the purpose of taking her money. The report lists marijuana as a factor in the case.

Allman has lengthy criminal history, including charges of grand theft of a car and burglary in Florida.
