Lexington Police are looking for a man who they say shot a woman in front of her child.

Police have issued warrants for Frederick Morgan, 29, in connection with the shooting.

Police say Morgan used to date the victim.

The shooting happened around 8:30 last night on Valley Avenue.

Police say Morgan pulled up in an SUV and shot the woman in the torso as she was getting into her car.

The victim is expected to recover.

Investigators say the woman's five-year old daughter and another man were also in the car at the time.
