Update: Police Now Say Former Evarts Mayor Was Murdered

Police said Tuesday that an autopsy revealed that Ronnie King, 59, was shot and killed before his house burned.
Police said on Tuesday that an autopsy revealed that former Evarts Mayor, Ronnie King, 59, was shot and killed before his house burned on Monday.

No arrests have been made.

Investigators said King lived alone in the home. 

News of King's murder was met with shock in the community he served.

Evarts Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. 

Visitation will be Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home.
