Update: Neighbor Saw Suspects Right Before They Robbed Victim

The neighbor of a man who was robbed overnight Thursday, says he saw the suspects preparing for the robbery in the hallway.
A neighbor says he witnessed four men preparing to rob his neighbor at gunpoint overnight Thursday.

Bernard Freeman says he had just returned home from work, when he saw four individuals dressed in masks and carrying guns in his apartment's hallway.

Freeman says he wanted to help, but was unarmed and was watching two small children at the time.

According to police, the victim told them he heard a knock at the door at his apartment on Fontaine Road at around 1:30 a.m.

He looked out and saw a man and when he opened the door, the man ran off and three others rushed inside.

The man who knocked at the door reportedly took off in a maroon van but the victim said he did not see how the other three got away.

Police are investigating the possibility that this robbery and the robbery of a gas station are connected.

Police say they're also searching for three suspects, with similar descriptions, who robbed a Shell station Friday.

The clerk said just before 3 a.m., three men came into the store on Newtown Pike.

Two of the men were wearing masks and had guns.

They demanded cash and took off after getting it. Police believe they got into a car behind the store.

They are going over surveillance video for leads.

If anyone has any information contact the Lexington Police Department.
