Update: Name Of Hit And Run Victim In Nicholasville Released

The Fayette County Coroner identified the victim of Thursday night's hit and run death as Linda Wilhoite, 50, of Nicholasville.

The coroner's report said Wilhoite died of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

Nicholasville Police said a passerby spotted Wilhoite's body in the road on Edgewood Drive at Southview Drive around 8:00 p.m. near where she lived.

Investigators said the driver who hit and killed Wilhoite did not stop.

Police are still searching for the vehicle and driver.
