Kentucky State Police has taken custody of Billy C. Utley from Illinois authorities Thursday.

Utley, 41, has waived extradition proceedings in Hardin County. He is being transported by KSP troopers to the Webster County Detention Center, where he will be lodged and charged with murder.

Utley was located at the Cave-In-Rock Motel in Cave-In-Rock Illinois. Authorities say Illinois State Police surrounded the motel, and Utley surrendered without incident.

Kentucky State Police say they were called to the scene in Wheatcroft by the Webster County Sheriff's Department and found her dead inside a vehicle.
