Fatal Muhlenberg Co. Fire Ruled Accidental

The names of those who lost their lives in a Muhlenberg County fire early Thursday morning have been released.
Family and community members in Muhlenberg County are mourning the loss of 9 people.

Early Thursday morning fire officials responded to Motes Lane in Depoy, Ky to a home that was fully engulfed.

Officials soon discovered that not everyone made it out alive.

Investigators have said the western Kentucky fire was accidental.

They have determined the fire was caused by an electric baseboard heater, which ignited some combustible materials sitting close by.

The names of the family have also been released, with nine losing their lives and two still in the hospital.

Their names are...

• LaRae Watson, 35, Mother

• Madison Watson, 15

• Kaitlyn Watson, 14

• Morgan Watson, 13

• Emily Watson, 9

• Samuel Watson, 8

• Raegan Watson, 6

• Mark Watson, 4

• Nathaniel Watson, 4

Mark and Nathaniel were reportedly twins.

36-year-old father Chad Watson was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. He is in critical but stable condition.

His only child who survived the fire, 11-year-old Kylie, was also flown to Vanderbilt Hospital. She is listed in stable condition.

State police said all of the victims' bodies have been taken from the home and transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville for autopsies.

Calvary Baptist Church has set up two memorial funds for the family.
