Update: More than 600 Gallons of Gas Stolen

The company who owns the station says they lost more than 25-hundred dollars in the theft.
According to the owner of a commercial fueling station in Lexington, more than 600 gallons of gas was stolen from the station back on January 8th.

Red Hed Oil Company says they lost more than $2,500.00 dollars in diesel fuel from the theft.

Surveillance video from that night at the scene shows a pickup truck and a large trailer pulling into the station and parking the trailer right over the fill-tank hole.

Red Hed Oil believes that the suspects somehow pumped the oil from the tank into a container in the trailer.

No suspects are seen in the video exiting the truck or the trailer at any time. Red Hed believes the thieves used a trap door in the trailer to siphon the gas out.

Lexington Police are asking for the public's help in this case. They say if anyone saw or heard anything to contact them immediately.
