Update: McConnell Says Office Was Bugged & References Watergate

The Kentucky Senator says this is just the latest attack by the 'left-wing,' who he says bugged his office.
There was plenty of finger pointing on Tuesday over a tape of Senator Mitch McConnell and his aides.

The tape includes  personal criticism of political rivals Ashley Judd and Alison Lundergan Grimes.

'Mother Jones Magazine' is airing the tape on its website.

McConnell's campaign claims his office was bugged and now wants the FBI to investigate.

Democrats are blasting what's being said on the tape.

Senator McConnell was asked about the tape on Tuesday in Washington and said this is only the latest attack on him by the 'left-wing.'

He says last month they attacked his wife's ethnicity and now apparently bugged his headquarters.

McConnell compared this latest incident to the Nixon-Watergate scandal.

'Mother Jones' says it obtained the tape legally and says there was not a Watergate-style bugging of McConnell's campaign office.
