The man police say was found hiding in the ceiling of a Lexington department store is scheduled to appear in court today.

Workers at Roses in the Eastland shopping center say they heard noises in the ceiling and called police.

According to a citation, police spotted 47-year-old Paul Masters in the ceiling above the bathroom and when he tried to get away, he fell through the ceiling and landed in the floor.

Officers say they also found a crowbar, a pair of gloves, and a knit cap in the ceiling above the bathroom.

Masters is charged with burglary and fleeing and evading.
