A woman who disappeared during a morning jog was murdered, according to State Police.

Investigators said Christopher W. Allman, 28, of Jamestown, has been charged with the kidnapping and murder of Sarah B. Hart, 31, of Jamestown.

Investigators said Hart went jogging with her sister around 6:30 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 127 between Jamestown and Russell Springs.

State Police said Sarah Hart became ill during the run, told her sister to go on, while she headed toward her car which was parked at a restaurant in Jamestown.

When Hart's sister came back to check on her, she was gone.

Hart was initially listed as a missing person.

Her body was found several hours later.

State Police said as Hart was returning to her car, she encountered Allman, who robbed and killed her and put her body beneath a tree in a weedy, wooded area about 30-yards off the road.

Just after 6:00 p.m. EST, Christopher Allman was arrested at the Jamestown Police Department, where he had been taken-in for questioning.

State Police said Allman is charged with Murder, Kidnapping, Robbery and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

He's lodged in the Russell County Jail.

Investigators said Hart's cause of death won't be confirmed until after an autopsy is performed.
