State Police said Ian Miller, 21, of Elmira, New York, was arrested and charged Monday with murder in connection to the shooting death of a Wayne County man.

Investigators said Gavin Thompson, 38, of Monticello, was shot and killed around 3:00 a.m. on April 21, 2014, following an argument with Miller at Thompson's home on Highway 1275 North in Wayne County.

State Police said Miller was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.

The investigation continues.
