Update: Lexington Police Say Men Shot at Each Other Over Unpaid Bill on Osage Court

One man faces first degree assault charges in shooting.
Lexington Police have charged 18-year-old Demarcus Jones with first degree assault, first degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and possession of marijuana in the shooting of  18-year-old Dontae Howard. Howard suffered a non-life threatening injury to his thigh.

Police say the two were in an argument over an unpaid bill when both men pulled out guns and shot at each other.

Howard did not hit Jones and is not being charged.

The shooting took place around 12:45 p.m. near 270 Osage Court off Woodhill Drive.

Police say Howard was found at 2424 Woodhill Drive after being shot, where occupants called police.

Howard was taken to UK Medical Center.
