Update: Lexington Man Dies From Motorcycle Collision Injuries

The Fayette County Coroner said Randolph Scott, 71, of Lexington, died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. The driver of the car who reportedly pulled out in front of Scott, ran from the scene and still hadn't been found.
A Lexington man died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle collision on Wednesday in Laurel County where the driver who reportedly caused the accident got out of her car and ran off into nearby woods, according to investigators.

The Fayette County Coroner said Randolph Scott, 71, of Lexington, died of multiple blunt force trauma at UK Hospital, where he was airlifted following the accident.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said Scott was driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on US 25 outside of London on Wednesday around 6:00 p.m., when the driver of a Dodge Neon, believed to be a woman, pulled into his path off of Hazel Patch Road.

Investigators said Scott collided with the car and was thrown from his motorcycle. 

The driver got out of the car and took off running into nearby woods and had not be found as of this writing, according to investigators.

Investigators said criminal charges were expected against the driver of the car.
