There's an update in the story of a Lexington girl who police say was hit by a car Friday afternoon.

David Fruth says his daughter Hannah Harp should be released from UK Hospital Friday night.

Police were called to Cathy Lane after they say 9-year-old Hannah was hit by a red sedan.

Officers say the driver did not stop.

Paula Myers lives on the street.

She says Hannah was playing with some neighborhood children when she went to cross the road and was hit.

Myers says neighbors called for an ambulance after Hannah started to have trouble breathing and told them she had pain in her side.

Fruth says his daughter has bruising on her side but nothing is broken.

Police are still looking for the red sedan.
