Police say a Lexington fugitive may be hiding in his hometown of Colorado Springs.

John Calvin Buckley IV, 29, was on trial last week for sexual assault. Police say he cut off his ankle monitor and ran while he was on break waiting for his verdict.

Police consider Buckley extremely dangerous and think he may be hiding in the Colorado Springs area.  Buckley's father is a prominent lawyer in the area.

Buckley is a former Army Ranger who is highly trained in weapons and combat tactics.

Colorado Springs Police say they have been actively looking for him.
