A Fayette Circuit judge on Monday ordered the uncle of fugitive John Buckley IV to pay cash and a property bond totaling more than a quarter of a million dollars at a bond forfeiture hearing.

According to court documents, Buckley's uncle put up $32,000 cash and property to get his nephew out of jail.

Investigators said Buckley IV cut off his electronic monitoring device and fled instead of returning to a courtroom to hear the verdict at his rape trial.

Buckley IV was found guilty of raping an ex-girlfriend.

The former Army Ranger has been on the run from authorities since July 12, 2012.

U.S. Marshals are involved in the nationwide search for Buckley IV.
