Update: Investigators Call Deadly Fire In Winchester "Murder"

State Police said Monday afternoon that a man who was found dead after a fire in a Winchester home over the weekend was murdered.

Investigators said accelerants were used to start the fire on East Broadway on Sunday morning. 

State Police said Kenneth Payton, 50, was found dead in the burned out house.

State Police charged Aaron Spencer with arson.  Investigators said Spencer lived with Payton in the home.

Investigators said Spencer is not charged with Payton's murder.

State Police also said Payton's girlfriend, Pamela Cantor, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

The investigation continues.
