Update: Human Remains Found In Abandoned Mine

Update:

Kentucky State Police say they found a burned vehicle at an abandoned mine site on Mullins Branch Road.

Officials who responded to the scene say they found human remains inside the vehicle. Adding that the remains were burned beyond recognition.

The remains have not been identified at this time.

Both the vehicle and remains were transported to the State Medical Examiners Office for further examination.
