Four people were rescued near the Laurel Lake spillway.

Three hikers became trapped when the flood gates closed and water began to rise behind them, cutting them off.

Emergency Management says a fourth person who was looking for them also became stuck.

The flood gates were lowered Friday and the four were able to get out.
