The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is now investigating the death of a Frankfort woman whose body was pulled from the Kentucky River last week.

Mitsey Garlen died last Saturday, June 9th, three days after she was found in the water.

Investigators said witnesses told them that Garlen was on a docked boat with other people when she walked off to another part of the boat by herself.

She was found later floating in the water.

It happened at a dock off old Lawrenceburg Road across from Cliffside Restaurant.

There's no official cause of death yet.

Investigators said an autopsy and toxicology tests are underway.

Garlen was the former owner of 'Outskirts Restaurant' in Lawrenceburg.
