Update: Former Teacher Expected To Plead Guilty To Having Sex With Minor

A former Scott County Middle School teacher and girls golf coach will plead guilty to sex crimes involving a 16-year old girl he used to coach, according to court documents cited by the Georgetown News-Graphic.

The published report said Jason Carpenter, 40, was scheduled to be in court on March 3rd.

The original arrest warrant issued for Carpenter in 2011, said he had sex with the underage girl more than 30-times over a seven month period.

Carpenter had been a middle school social studies teacher for 16-years at the time of his arrest.
