Update: Dad Pleads Not Guilty After Toddlers Found Alone Outside

A Lexington father plead not guilty to neglecting his two children Wednesday afternoon, after police said his two toddlers were found wandering outside alone Tuesday night.

James Peters,28, was in court Wednesday afternoon. Police said they found Peters passed out in his apartment complex on Covelake Drive. Investigators said they found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his apartment.

Police said they received the call about the children around 10 p.m, but say they aren't sure how long the kids were outside
