Dry conditions have forced the cancellation of the fireworks show in Bourbon County as well as a ban on personal fireworks.

The show was scheduled for Wednesday, July 4; it is now cancelled until further notice.

The judge's office in Bourbon County made the announcement about the show Monday morning.

The Bourbon County Parks and Recreation department announced the ban of personal fireworks shortly after Fayette County's announcement.
