Update: Bats Temporarily Close Elementary School

 An elementary school in Powell county will remain closed for the rest of the week because of bats.
 Stanton Elementary School is dealing with bats in its gymnasium.
 The bats showed up in August have remained there.
 Powell County Schools said on its website that it has been trying to clear the bats from the building but needs to have the students out of school while it continues to work on the problem.
 School will be closed Thursday and Friday.
 Next week the school will hold classes at various churches around the city.
