State Police said Stewart Ballew, 21, of Richmond, was arrested Wednesday in Estill County in connection to a reported drive-by shooting in Madison County from earlier in the day.

Richmond Police said a subject was sitting in a Jeep at the Redi Mart on Irvine Road in Richmond when another vehicle drove by and that several shots were fired at the Jeep.

Investigators said one person suffered minor injuries from flying glass, but was not hit by any bullets.

Following his arrest in the case, Ballew was taken to the Madison County Detention Center where he was booked on a number of charges.
