State Police said a woman has been arrested after her husband was shot and killed last night at a home on Primrose Lane in Beattyville.

Troopers said they arrested Madeline Lykins, 54, today and charged her with murder and tampering with evidence.

Police said they found Rex Lykins, 74, dead in a home on Primrose Lane in Lee County around 11 p.m. Friday night.

According to troopers, Rex had multiple gunshot wounds.

Madeline is in the Lee County Jail.
