Update: Armed Robbery Suspect Didn't Make It Out Of Business Parking Lot

Georgetown Police said a man walked into a Walgreens Friday afternoon with a pellet gun and demanded prescription pain medicine. He was arrested in the parking lot right outside of the business.
Georgetown Police said an accused armed robber didn't make it out of the parking lot of the business before being arrested.

Investigators said John Krider walked into a Walgreens on South Broadway around 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a pellet gun and demanded the prescription painkiller Oxycontin.

Police said the pharmacist gave him a lower grade narcotic at which time Krider left the store and walked to a car in the Walgreens parking lot.

Investigators said there was a police officer in the immediate area who pulled up behind the car and arrested Krider.

Police also said there was a man in the trunk of the car taking pills.

Investigators said that man was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
