State Police say a man who died in an apparent drowning was an employee at Morehead State University.

The school's website says Micheal Padula worked as a Farm Maintenance Supervisor.

Troopers say Padula's body was found early Sunday morning by a Rowan County search and rescue team.

Police say he was first reported missing Saturday night when he didn't return home from fishing in the North Fork of Triplett Creek near the Cranston community.

Padula's vehicle and dog were later found off Old Sportsman Road near a local fishing access.

The case is still under investigation, but police say it appears Padula was fishing and accidentally drowned.
