Update: All Lanes Of Newtown Pike Will Be Open This Weekend

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, is suspending road construction work on busy Newtown Pike in Lexington this weekend.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that work and lane closures will temporarily cease for a section of KY 922 (Newtown Pike). 

  • The current construction project involving lane closures will be suspended Friday evening.

All lanes will be open this weekend on Newtown Pike between West Fourth Street and West Loudon Avenue.

 

  • Monday, March 11, at approximately 8:00 a.m. – the contractor will resume work and lane closures will be in effect again with one lane remaining open in each direction

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the work area.
