Update: Accused Killer Writes Letter To Judge Asking For Lower Bond

Marty Roe wrote a letter to a Lexington judge asking that his bond be lowered or that he be released on his own recognizance. The request was denied.
The man accused of gunning down a well-known Lexington dermatologist, won't have his bond reduced, according to court officials.

Court documents show that Marty Roe wrote a letter to Fayette Circuit Judge James Ishmael, asking that his bond be reduced or that he be released from jail on his own recognizance.

Roe also wrote in the letter that he could help find the real killer.

Judge Ishmael denied Roe's request.

Roe is accused of murdering Dr. Martha Post in the parking lot of her office in 2011.

Roe has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

His trial date has been moved again.  It is now set for August of this year.
