UPDATE: Teenager Arrested In County Attorney's Office Arson

State Police said James Rigney, 18, of Monticello, was arrested and charged in connection to a fire that investigators said was intentially set at the Wayne County Attorney's Office in May.
State Police arrested a teenager Wednesday in connection to a fire investigators said was deliberately set at the Wayne County Attorney's Office in May.

Investigators said James Rigney, 18, of Monticello, was charged with Arson 2nd Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking under $500 and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

He was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.

The May 22, 2014, fire caused significant damage to the County Attorney's Office on Columbia Avenue in Monticello, according to investigators.

The fire was reported around 4:30 a.m., according to the Monticello Fire Chief.

No one was inside the building at the time of the fire, according to investigators.
