State Police reported they received a call just before noon Friday about a woman on I-75 who was firing a handgun at people as they drove past her.

Officials said they arrested Vera Walker at a Shell station on Athens-Boonsboro Road, just off the Interstate.

Walker has been charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, DUI, and possession of a handgun by a felon.

Investigators said the original 911 caller has not been found, so they are unable to charge Walker with firing the gun at this time.
