Charges were dropped against Charles Taylor and Lamarius Gates in connection to a shooting on Georgetown Street June 30, 2014, because of new information in the case, according to Lexington Police.
Police said a man was shot in the leg and buttocks in the parking lot of the Shopper's Choice market.
The incident was captured on surveillance video.
According to court documents, a confidential informant identified Charles Taylor and Lamarius Gates as the shooters.
Lexington Police detectives issued an arrest warrant for Taylor and Gates on Tuesday. Taylor turned himself in to the Fayette Sheriff’s Office later that day.
According to court officials, Taylor was arraigned Wednesday and at the court appearance, all charges were dropped with prejudice, which means he could be charged at a later date if new information developed in the case.
Lexington Police were once again looking for the two shooting suspects.
