Kentucky incoming freshman Nerlens Noel has been declared academically eligible by the NCAA.
LEXINGTON, Ky. - Kentucky's top recruit, incoming freshman Nerlens Noel, has been cleared academically by the NCAA and is eligible to play for the Cats this season.
CBSsports.com's Jeff Goodman reported on Wednesday that Noel received the news from UK NCAA compliance officer Sandy Bell on Tuesday morning.
Noel told Goodman that he knew he had qualified but was still nervous until hearing the official word.
