UK Women Fall Short of Final Four

UConn 80-65 over the Cats in Elite Eight.
The Kentucky Women are done for the season.

The Lady Cats fell to UConn 80-65 in the Elite Eight, coming up just short of the program's first Final Four and a trip to Denver.

UK trailed just 41-39 at the break, but the Huskies proved to be too much for Kentucky in the second half.

Former Connecticut player Samarie Walker, who transferred to Kentucky, led the Cats with 14 points, 5 rebounds.

Bria Goss had 12 while Kastine Evans put up ten in the loss.  A'dia Mathies managed just 8 points and Keyla Snowden just 2.

UK was out rebounded 37-21 and had just 8 assists...UConn had 21.

The Cats finish the season at 28-7 (13-3 SEC).
