University of Kentucky students raised more than one million dollars for pediatric cancer research this weekend.
It was part of the DanceBlue Marathon, where more than 800 students danced for 24 hours straight. During that time, they were not allowed to sleep or even sit down.
Since DanceBlue began in 2006, organizers say they’ve raised 3.5 million dollars.
The money benefits the Golden Matrix Fund and the Dance Blue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric Oncology Clinic.
