A University of Kentucky student was arrested after police said he allegedly raped another student on campus early Saturday morning.
According to a police report, Simon Parker Segal, 18, was arrested around 11:40 a.m. Saturday. This is almost 10 hours after the incident allegedly happened.
The Herald-Leader reports that UKPD said Segal met his victim at an off-campus party, then went back to the girl’s dorm room.
It was there that the victim told police Segal raped her.
The police report stated that when the victim tried to refuse, Segal pinned her neck down with his hand and forearm until she was unconscious.
The report added that officers believe alcohol was involved.
Segal is charged with rape and is being held at the Fayette County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in court Tuesday.
