Armed Police Officers were outside of the Lancaster Aquatic Center after a teenage girl said a man tried to lure her into his car yesterday while she waited for a ride home after swim practice.

UK Police said the man, who was driving a black, older model Honda Accord with dark tinted windows and round taillights, went up to a 13-year-old girl.

The girl reported that the man said, “You look cold. How about a ride home?” She says when she told him no and he continued to ask her. So ran away into the Aquatic Center and told her coach about what happened.

Tonight, Police took extra precautions by putting officers outside the pool entrance when the swimmers were picked up.

Parents we talked to say they never felt like their children were in danger when dropping them off at the Aquatic Center. But many of them said this reported incident has brought up safety talk with their children.
