The UK Ticket Office says the phone calls haven’t stopped since the naming of a new head football coach on Tuesday.

“The ticket office started getting an immediate flood of calls,” Tony Neely, Media Relations Director said. “There's a lightning bolt of enthusiasm for the Kentucky Football Program.”

“As far as in a non-season and in the non-football playing season, it is undoubtedly the most enthusiasm we've had with a coaching hire,” Neely said.

Commonweath Stadium’s capacity is 67,942 people, but according to Neely, only about 50,000 people bought season tickets this season.

Neely also said UK Athletics is completely self-supported.

“We have to support 22 varsity sports programs,” he said. “Basically on the men's football and basketball programs. So the football ticket sales are extremely important.”

To order tickets for the 2013 season, visit the UK Athletics website at http://www.ukathletics.com/tickets/ or call 859-257-1818.
