The Kentucky defense has been downright bad through the first few games of the season.

But against South Carolina, the Cats showed they could stop an offense cold.

USC gained just 108 yards of total offense in the first half.  That's good news for Solid Blue fans.

The bad news?  UK gave up 240 yards to the Gamecocks in second.

But Jalen Whitlow did throw two interceptions and the offense stalled out, forcing the UK defense to play roughly the entire fourth quarter.

So things could've been much worse when everything is taken in to account.

Right?

Defensive coordinator Rick Minter, doesn't subscribe to that theory.  check out the video to hear the coach's thoughts on the outing versus South Carolina.
