Lexington police said a man hit two officers as they were trying to arrest him Tuesday morning. The officers were near Bassett Avenue just after midnight answering another call when someone flagged them down and told them there was a robbery happening at a home nearby. Police said 40-year-old Donnie Bullock walked into the home of a known acquaintance, pulled a gun and demanded money.
As officers were coming up to the home, they said Bullock spotted them and ran off. They chased him and caught him in a backyard.While they were trying to arrest him, officers said Bullock hit them.Bullock was taken into custody and charged with assault, criminal mischief, robbery and fleeing and evading.
