Two Lexington schools were placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon.

A Fayette County School Spokeswoman said Dixie elementary and Yates elementary schools were both locked down for about five minutes after a domestic dispute on Martha drive.

The spokeswoman said one of the people involved in the incident was considered to be armed and dangerous and suicidal, so the schools were placed on lock down as a precaution.
