Two Inmates Escape From Blackburn Correctional Complex

Police are looking for 2 inmates, Christopher Melton and Tyler Roberts, of the Blackburn Correctional Complex in Fayette County who police say walked away from the minimum-security prison Saturday night. They were confirmed missing at approximately 8:06 p.m.

Christopher Melton is a 23-year-old white male, 6’1, 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He was serving a 6-year sentence for convictions out of Henderson county for theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and fleeing and evading in the 1st degree. He would have been eligible for parole in April 2013.

Tyler Roberts is a 21-year-old white male, 5’9, 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was serving a 10-year sentence for convictions out of Garrard and Jessamine counties for burglary and theft by unlawful taking charges, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon (2 counts), arson in the 3rd degree and tampering with physical evidence. He would have been eligible for parole October 2013.
