Officials at the Whitley County Detention center tell ABC 36 that two men escaped from the jail early Sunday morning.

According to the jail, Jessie Terry, 37, and Ronald Tracey Sisk, 44, were working in the kitchen around 5:15am, when a jail employee watching the two stepped out. That's when the two men snuck out and pushed through a secure door.

Local police and jail deputies have been out searching for the two all day.

Neither man was in jail for violent crimes.
