Two Die in Boating Accident

The Wayne County Coroner says two people died after a boating accident on Lake Cumberland Saturday.

The coroner says it happened around 11:30 am near the Tom's Creek area during the annual poker run
according to the report.

Forty-seven year-old Jeffery Thomas Asbell and 39 year-old Bradley David Smith, both from Joplin, Missouri were thrown from a boat when it flipped.

Both suffered blunt force trauma injuries and were pronounced dead on the scene.
