State Police said two people were killed and a third injured in a fire in Owen County Friday morning.
Investigators said a preliminary investigation pointed to the kitchen as the location the fire started.
State Police said Brock Morgan, 31, of Greensburg, Indiana and a two-year old child died at the scene.
Investigators said the child's mother, Katherine Perry, 30, of Owenton, was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The fire is still under investigation.
